A Big Thank You From 375th Committee

Posted

Sad to say, much of the planning  for events to celebrate our 375th anniversary has been significantly sidetracked by the COVID-19 pandemic.  But one thing that has not been deterred by this virus has been the incredible and enthusiastic response and support from the community.  The Committee is very grateful to those who have responded to our general appeal for funds to help support the activities that have been planned throughout 2020.  Before the Statewide shutdown and self-distancing, we were fortunate to host the Bonfire in January; a Family Fun Day, a Story Telling Workshop, and a Manchester Historical Museum lecture in February;  and the Gala and Silent Auction in March.  We have been meeting regularly to assess how future events will be managed.  Some events are tentatively being postposed, some canceled, and others may even be pushed into a celebratory 376th!!  The 375th Committee wishes to thank all those who responded to our fundraising appeal.  We hope we have acknowledged everyone who donated.  If we missed a name or two, please know that your donation is still greatly appreciated and accept our apologies for the omission.  To one and all, we again say thank you for being part of the 375th anniversary.  We look forward to having you continue to share with us  a spirit of community celebration.  Please stay safe, be well, and stay connected with family and friends during this terrible pandemic.
