Nancy J. (Dean) Harrington of South Hamilton, MA, formerly of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, passed peacefully after a brief illness at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday January 5, 2020.

Born in Beverly on August 22, 1939, Nancy was one of three siblings. Born to the late John H. and Betty J. Dean, she graduated from Beverly High School and held her first job at the Beverly Times. Nancy also worked for the Manchester High School, the Medical Group and Allen’s Pharmacy.

Nothing was more important to Nancy than her two children and her seven grandchildren. One of Nancy’s favorite things to do was to spend time with family at Tuck's Point and Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea. She also loved her many trips to Canton, GA to visit her grandchildren. Nancy was her grandchildren’s biggest fan; she could be found cheering in the stands at their various sporting events.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Sarah Webber and her husband Scott of South Hamilton, MA, and her son Mark Harrington and his wife Stephanie of Canton, GA, one brother Jack Dean of Beverly, MA and one sister Patricia Tucker and her husband Tom of Salem, MA. She was also the proud grandmother of Eliza, Griffin, and Sam Webber and Noelle, Karina, Charlie and Henry Harrington.

Our family would like to thank the amazing caregivers at Seacoast in Gloucester for their loving care of Nancy. Services shall be private, and anyone interested in making a donation in Nancy’s memory can do so at www.lbda.org.
