Craig Steven Forsley, 53, of Peabody, MA, a former longtime resident of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA ("Manchester"), passed away on Sunday, May 19,2019. Craig is the son of Richard J. Forsley and the late Barbara Lawrence Forsley and was born in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania.
Craig attended Manchester Elementary and High Schools. In 10th grade, Craig attended the North Shore Vocational Technical High School in Beverly,MA, where he studied in the Culinary Arts program. After graduating, Craig further trained in Boston hotels and worked as a Sous-Chef for the prestigious Copley Plaza Hotel and the well-known L’Espalier restaurant. Craig then moved to Florida where he worked about ten years forBell South. Craig returned back to Manchester and worked at the Beach Street Café and became a Manchester Planning Board Member. Craig later worked at Earthlink Communications as a telecommunications technician, and whenEarthlink merged with Windstream Communications,Craig continued to work for Windstream in the same capacity. Craig was a caring and fun-loving father and husband, and shouldered the responsibility of looking after his disabled brother Drew and the needs of his aging parents for which the entire family will be forever grateful. Craig also enjoyed camping with his family and scuba diving.Craig was predeceased by his mother Barbara L. Forsley, his brother Drew, and his sister-in-law Lisa S. Forsley. He is survived by his wife Giovana, daughterMia Bella, and step-son Jeremy of Peabody, his father Richard J. Forsley of Manchester, his brothers, Richard N. Forsley of Oakland, ME, Alan W. Forsley, and his wife Angelina of Los Angeles, CA, Bruce R. Forsley and his wife Jennifer of Scarborough, ME, David B. Forsley of Vernon, CT andLawrence P. Forsley of San Diego, CA, and his many nieces and nephews.
There will be a public service for Craig on July 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the FirstParish Church, Congregational, 10 Central St., Manchester, MA 01944.
