Last week’s front page featured an award-winning photograph of Piping Plovers in Ipswich. This week, keeping with a theme of “birds,” here we have a beautiful shot of the gulls in flight at Manchester’s Black Earth Compost facility site on Upper School Street where they were awfully busy early on Sunday morning.
