The “Asked & Offered” team got together on last Saturday’s bitter cold morning to begin setting up a community-oriented effort to help people feel better this season. With social distancing still in our lives, Manchester resident Isabella Bates learned of a program to set up painted stones with warm and encouraging messages and thought that might be a good idea to carry out here. So, the group, which meets every week on Zoom, got together to lay a series of stones at Masconomo Park. They left a bushel basket of blank stones and an invitation to take one, paint it, and return it to the gravel path along Beach Street. Rock on!
