To the Editor:
Thanks to all who helped ensure our town polling site run smoothly and transparently on November 3rd, including poll workers, police officers on duty, volunteers, town administrators, and Interim Town Clerk Sharon George. Accompanied by my husband and eighteen-year-old daughter (first-time voter!), I voted in person at the high school and was proud and grateful to see people turning out. Everyone I encountered at the polls acted with civility and respect. Thanks too to the USPS postal carriers in our town who delivered and processed vote-by-mail ballots, and for the ballot box at Town Hall, giving people multiple options for voting safely.
Lastly, I would like to remember our wonderful Town Clerk Christina St. Pierre whom we lost this year. She exemplified professionalism, compassion, and civic engagement and she is dearly missed.
