Bill (or Billy) was born on July 7, 1950 in New London, CT, the son of Gladys Sadowski and Anton (Tony) Siderewicz. He is survived by his cherished wife of 52 years, Chris Kinney of Manchester-by-the-sea, and two children and their spouses; Jonathan andTeagan Siderewicz of South Hamilton, and Katie Siderewicz and Alex Weare of Ipswich, his grandson who he adored greatly, Rory Siderewicz, and 3 brothers and a sister, Joe Siderewicz, Bob Siderewicz, Stephen Siderewicz, and Caroline Siderewicz. He was predeceased by his parents Gladys and Anton.
Bill loved everything life had to offer. He enjoyed being an outdoorsman. He loved fishing, camping, and going to the beach. He also thoroughly enjoyed being on the water where he was most comfortable in a boat somewhere, probably exceeding the speed limit, or with a fishing line trolling behind. He could always be found watching his favorite hockey team, the Boston Bruins, on the sidelines of his son’s lacrosse games, or at any of his daughters horse shows. Bill was an avid sports fanatic and passed that on to both his children.
Bill and his wife Chris welcomed two children after 19 years of marriage, Jonathan and Katie, and were well on their way to a beautiful life together. Before kids, Bill and Chris loved to travel, checking numerous beautiful destinations off their bucket list; Hawaii, Switzerland, & London to name a few. Eventually, Jonathan and Katie were included on these adventures of a lifetime which created everlasting memories that were sacred and cherished to Bill.
A brilliant, talented, dedicated, hard working entrepreneur. Bill excelled in academics;
specifically, science & math. Earning his first Masters in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and his second Masters, an MBA, from North Eastern University. Bill created a life for his family that was comfortable while filling everyone’s heart with joy, laughter, respect, kindness, self-value, and most importantly, love. There was never a project, or object, or problem that he couldn’t fix. Bill made friends very easily and always saw the good light in people. His special gift was his ability to find humor in all things, and he was extraordinarily good at really connecting with people. He was a family man, and his favorite place to be was at their beautiful home in Manchester or on island time on Nantucket with the ones he loved most. His love affair with the island lasted more than 44 years, eventually becoming his family’s “Ferry Tale”.
A Naval Reserve Veteran, a son, a brother, a loving husband, an adoring father, and the most special grandfather (Jaja), Bill was a man that was everything to everyone, making anyone he encountered or spoke with more comfortable, more joyous, and a better human being. He was well loved, and loved well, and most definitely will still be living his fun and adventurous life up in the sky waiting for all of us to join him one day.
