Manchester's 2023 4th July Parade

Posted

On Tuesday, the 4th of July, locals greeted weather that can only be described as lackluster, and wet, and humid, and rainy.  The only good news?  The rain had a “rolling” quality to it, with bands of moisture coming in and out.  At 8 a.m., the “Beverly FarmsPrides” (and Horribles) Parade  took place during a break in the rain (as did the West Beach fireworks the night before).  Manchester’s parade also benefited from a break.  Residents showed up to see familiar marches (the Antique Bikes!  The colonial squads!) and new entrants (Manchester Historial Museum’s 13-stripe flag and 1836 Torrent fire pumper!)  All told, from Music in the Park to the parade, it was a great showing in the face of Mother Nature’s challenges.
