With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Ky Bradley Hamilton, who left us on November 7, 2024. Born on April 16, 1988, in Burlington, Vermont, Ky grew up in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. She leaves behind her devoted parents, Deb Bradley and Steve Hamilton, and her loving siblings, Katra Hamilton, Abe Rogers, and Autie Hamilton.
Ky was a beautiful soul whose curiosity, compassion, and dreams of what could be touched the lives of everyone who knew her. With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a passion for many causes, she inspired all who were close to her to broaden their views and live with greater awareness and intention.
Growing up in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Ky developed a love for sailing. A natural entrepreneur, she founded a drop-shipping business of Tibetan art while still in high school. Her entrepreneurial spirit continued with The Art of Dharma and The Lotus, two mindfulness platforms that brought together authors and practitioners worldwide to share in yoga, meditation, and intentional living. Most recently, Ky channeled her creativity into developing a mobile app to digitally simplify social event coordination, reflecting her passion for connecting people.
Ky was a technophile. It was impossible to ask her a question about technological advances that she couldn’t answer. A highlight of her years at Hofstra University was training in Cupertino, California, to become the Apple representative on campus, a role that perfectly matched her love for technology and innovation. Her career in interactive media and product design spanned companies as diverse as Mozilla, Invitae, Good Start Genetics, Macuity, TJX, Paint Nite, and Fight for the Future. Whether solving complex problems or explaining the latest tech trends, Ky’s enthusiasm for keeping friends and family informed will be greatly missed.
Ky’s adventurous nature flourished in Escalante, Utah, when she volunteered with AmeriCorps. She fell in love with the beauty of the canyons and western mountains. Eventually moving to Colorado, she embraced the outdoor lifestyle with her beloved dogs, Ani and Nana. From hiking in the Rockies to snowboarding, cross-country skiing, catch and release fly fishing, skeet shooting, and tubing in local rivers, Ky lived her life immersed in nature’s beauty. Her love of nature was evident in the many amazing photos she shared.
Ky will be remembered for her strength and courage in facing the ongoing adversity she experienced. Her love and generosity of spirit, encouraging those around her to live authentically, will be greatly missed. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of family and friends as they strive to live each day with the awareness and intention that Ky embodied.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Ky’s life will be held at Tupper Manner, Endicott College, 295 Hale Street, Beverly, MA, on Saturday, February 1, at 11:00 am.
