Hornets Prepared for Fall Season

Posted

The Hornets are not playing in the Cape Ann League this season but are tackling (pun intended) several new teams in an independent schedule. A low-number roster last season led to the Hornets playing schools with much deeper squads. This year, they will play with similarly sized benches.

Coach Hutton is fortunate to have 16 starters returning to 22 spots.  The team will play six regular games this season, which qualifies them for a potential playoff spot. The Hornets will open the season against KIPP Academy at Manning Field in Lynn on Thursday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m. Their first home game is Friday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m. against Boston English High School.
