Anne P. (Halloran) Daley

Anne P. (Halloran) Daley 82, beloved wife of the late William B. Daley, passed away peacefully at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester on Friday, May 29, after a brief illness.  Anne was the daughter of the late James F. and Kathleen (Clancy) Halloran.  She is also predeceased by her brother, James F. Halloran, II.

Anne was a lifelong resident of Manchester and graduated from Story High School, Class of 1956.  After high school she attended and graduated from the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing and went on to a successful career as a Registered Nurse.  She worked at Beverly Hospital for many years before focusing her specialty to long term care.  She worked primarily at Oakwood Nursing Home in Manchester until her retirement in 1995. 

Anne enjoyed many years of retirement with her husband, Bill, during which time they traveled frequently.  They regularly vacationed in Florida and enjoyed visiting with their grandchildren.  At the time of Bill’s passing in 2014, Anne and Bill were just shy of their 52nd wedding anniversary.

Anne maintained several close friendships with many of her classmates from Story High School over the years.  She had several life-long friends, and they regularly met for luncheons and other activities.

She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Manchester, MA.

Anne is survived by two sons, James F. Daley of Manchester and Timothy L. Daley and his wife, Lesley, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  She has three loving grandchildren, Lauren, Isabel and Brendan, who enjoyed spending time in Manchester with Anne and visiting Singing Beach.  Anne is also survived by her brother, Joseph Halloran, of Manchester, his wife, Gail, and several nieces and nephews.

Anne’s funeral service will be held in a private ceremony with close friends and family in attendance.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne’s name to Sacred Heart Parish in Manchester.
