Watercolor Workshop

For those wanting to experiment with watercolor but hesitant to try, the Manchester Community Center is running a workshop to introduce adults over age 16 to the world of watercolor painting.  The workshop is aimed at beginners and intermediate painters wanting to take your practice to a new level.

In the six-week workshop, participants will learn secrets to success, and tips to getting to a place where they can enjoy this versatile and wonderful medium.  Lessons will cover the basics for the best composition and subject matter, how to choose appropriate paints, paper and brushes, and how to mix colors, glazes and washes for the result you want.  

Workshop participants will focus on landscapes, still life and portraits.

This class runs 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 and will go through April 22.  In addition, an afternoon class is scheduled for 1 – 3 p.m. from Thursday, March 19to April 26.  Cost for the class is $125 for non-members and $100 for members.  Contact the MCC to register (978-526-7626 or manchestercommunitycenter@gmail.com.)  Participants will a provided with a supply list.
