It's a "Plus One" Parade!

After 33 months of planning, the Town of Manchester’s 375th Anniversary Celebration Parade went off without a hitch Saturday.  The landmark celebration was planned for 2020, interrupted by COVID, and then picked back up this year after safety protocols and vaccinations were firmly in place.  Well it was worth the wait.  The celebration committee proceeded with all manner of community events, from family movie nights to scavenger hunts.  This week, the finale.  There was an outdoor high tea at Sharksmouth with the Manchester Historical Museum and then a grand parade that felt like the 4th of July, but better.  Here are pictures from the parade, and the crowds of locals who enjoyed it.  A great job by the 375th Anniversary Committee, chaired by Tom Kehoe and Sue Thorne.  And special kudos to MBTS Parks & Recreation Executive Director Cheryl Marshal, who did an outstanding job managing the parade's logistics.  What a pro!  Here's the to next 375 years!
