Pet Of The Week: Big Girl Nala

Posted

Nala is a 10-year-old gal who found herself alone when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She isn't thrilled to be here at the shelter at this stage of the game, and we really don't blame her. Change is hard for a lot of people and animals. Nala is no different. Her adorable Yoda-like ears will let you know when she's not happy.

Nala is a big girl who loves her snacks a whole lot! She will perk right up when you shake a treat bag. But as Yoda teaches, "Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not."

Nala will do great in a quiet home where she is given proper time and space to adjust at her own pace. She has perfect litter box manners, enjoys alone time and likes to do her own thing. In time she will warm up to her new person.

She has never lived with other animals, so she probably wouldn't want to start now.

If you feel inclined to help this slightly persnickety senior lady bust out of here, submit an online application and stop in during our regular visiting hours to meet Nala. Her face will make you smile and she may just be your perfect match.
