115 Years Ago – 1906
A very heavy rain fell for over one-half hour on Monday afternoon. During the thunder shower the lightning struck the malt house on the D.W. Low estate. It entered on the end, tearing off shingles, smashing a window frame and breaking seven squares of glass, then tore and ripped the lower beam in the cellar. Damage $50.
