Some very fine days followed the severe weather of last week, the snow of Friday only lasting a few hours. Sunday was an ideal autumn day, as were Monday and Tuesday.

Armistice Day passed very quietly in Essex, the chief observance being a meat pie supper in Town hall by the Legion and Auxiliary combined, which was followed by a dance.
