Samuel Gray while at work in A D Story’s shipyard on Saturday planing the edge of a plank, the horses which held it up tipped throwing the plank on to the leg of Mr. Gray injuring the bone and straining the tendons severely. Dr. Towne has the case in charge.
The public schools remained closed last Friday to allow the teachers an opportunity to attend the Essex County Teachers Convention in Boston.
