An alarm was sounded just before 1 o’clock Thursday of last week for a fire in the Essex woods on the old Manchester Road caused by flames from a bonfire to burn moth nests.  It got beyond the control of the men at work in the woods.  The fire was extinguished before night after burning over nearly 100 acres.
