Considerable notoriety has been brought to Essex through the tragic death of one of our well-known citizens, William Bagwell, whose body was discovered by his wife on the floor of the kitchen of their home at 7 o’clock Tuesday morning.  The case is under investigation by the police.  He was 58 years of age and quite prominent in the social life of the town and a member of the Essex Veteran Firemen’s Association.
