Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea 2021 Nomination Papers


Interested in running for local office? Nomination papers for Manchester-by-the-Sea’s Annual Town Election will be available to mail out to candidates—by request—oThursday, January21, 2021. The Town Hall is presently closed to the public until further notice.  Please call the Town Clerk’s Office (978) 526-2040 to make arrangements for your Nomination Papers to be mailed to your residence.The deadline for filing Nomination Papers with the Town Clerk is April 1, 2021. 

The elected offices on this year’s ballot will be:  

  • one (1) Moderator for one-year term 

  • one (1) Board of Selectmen for three-year term 

  • two (2) School Committee members for three-year term 

  • two (2Board of Library Trustee members for three-year term, 

  • two (2) Planning Board members for three-year term 

  • two (2) Housing Authority members for a five-year term 

Nomination papers will only be mailed to the potential candidate or to someone with the candidate’s written authorization.
