Interested in running for local office? Nomination papers for Manchester-by-the-Sea’s Annual Town Election will be available to mail out to candidates—by request—on Thursday, January 21, 2021. The Town Hall is presently closed to the public until further notice. Please call the Town Clerk’s Office (978) 526-2040 to make arrangements for your Nomination Papers to be mailed to your residence.The deadline for filing Nomination Papers with the Town Clerk is April 1, 2021.
The elected offices on this year’s ballot will be:
one (1) Moderator for a one-year term
one (1) Board of Selectmen for a three-year term
two (2) School Committee members for a three-year term
two (2) Board of Library Trustee members for a three-year term,
two (2) Planning Board members for a three-year term
two (2) Housing Authority members for a five-year term
Nomination papers will only be mailed to the potential candidate or to someone with the candidate’s written authorization.
