To the Editor,
The nation is stunned and deeply saddened by the tragic and senseless murder of Charlie Kirk that occurred on Wednesday September 10 at Utah Valley University.
This act of violence is a stark reminder of the urgent need to end the dangerous rhetoric that fuels such tragedies. We must have the courage to denounce every act of political violence, no matter where it emerges or whom it targets. Violence is never the answer. It does not heal; it only destroys. In moments like these, we must recommit ourselves to civil discourse, mutual respect, and the shared values that bind us together as a society.
What transpired on Wednesday September 10 should never have happened to Charlie Kirk or to any American regardless of political belief. A man has been taken from the world, a wife is left without her husband, and his children are left without their father all because of a cowardly act of hate.
