Sarah Ann Stone, Candidate for School Committee

Posted

To the Editor,

I am writing to ask for your vote on May 19th for School Committee.

I am running for School Committee because I bring a unique perspective as both a parent and an educator.  For more than 20 years, I have worked in public education as an English teacher and building administrator.  I have also served as an adjunct faculty member at Endicott College, where I supervised and evaluated student teachers and taught courses in secondary education curriculum.

My experience as both a teacher and a leader, combined with my passion for education and student success, has prepared me to serve our community with dedication, expertise, and a deep commitment to our children and schools.

I understand firsthand the challenges students and teachers face in the classroom, as well as the concerns families experience at home.  I want to help bridge that gap by supporting strong teaching, student success, and clear, consistent communication as we navigate an ever-changing educational landscape.

My goal is to advocate for policies that are practical, equitable, and truly in the best interest of our students.

Our public schools are strongest when educators, families, and the community work together, and I am committed to fostering those partnerships with energy, compassion, and purpose.

My life’s greatest joys have been discovered in motherhood and in the classroom—serving families and helping young people reach their full potential.  I would be honored to serve our community and would be appreciative of your support in the upcoming election.  I encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote on May 19.

Warmly,

Sarah Ann Stone
