Robert “Bob” N. Atwater, 70, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late Robert and Stella (Demarkis) Atwater. He was the beloved husband of Tracy (Barton) Atwater.
Founder and long-time owner of the Beach Street Cafe, Bob perfected the art of the omelet, and employed countless Manchester teens, quietly mentoring them in whatever way they needed most. He was an avid golfer, horse racing buff, and Dave Matthews Band fan.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his son Steven Atwater of Weymouth; brothers Tom and Chuck Atwater; sisters Joni Carnevale, Kathy Atwater, and Pattie Atwater; and his nephew Matt and nieces Caitlin, Alison, Kristin, and Willow.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to a charity of one’s choosing.
