A program of much-loved Broadway hits performed by four talented singers, all members of the
Cape Ann Symphony Chorus, accompanied by trumpet, flugelhorn, and piano at the next edition of the Cape Ann Symphony’s popular “Musicians Unleashed” program.
Launched years ago, Musicians Unleashed is an intimate, scaled down version of the regional symphony’s full musical might. This year’s afternoon program will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at 3 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on Washington Street in Lanesville, Gloucester. Each year the orchestra selects a theme, and this year’s is Broadway music, with the added portion of an audience sing-a-long for those inclined to join in.
The musical program includes A Musical from “Something Rotten,” "Edelweiss" played by special guest Lydia Betts, We Make a Beautiful Pair from “Shenandoah,” Agony from "Into the Woods," You'll Be Back from "Hamilton," Flight from “Dear Evan Hansen,” and If Ever I Would Leave You from “Camelot.”
