Memorial Day Thanks from Manchester American Legion Post 113

To the Editor,

On behalf of the Amaral-Bailey Post 113 Manchester American Legion, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the Memorial Day ceremonies and parade.  It was a wonderful display of patriotism and community spirit for the Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea.

This year’s observance included Memorial Day assemblies at the elementary and high schools, the placement of flags at the graves of all veterans in Manchester-by-the-Sea cemeteries, a waterside service, the Memorial Day parade to the GAR lot and the Legion lot at Rosedale Cemetery, a wreath-laying at the Hinkley Memorial, a gun salute at Union Cemetery, and a gathering back at the Legion for refreshments.
