Gladstone, the jewelry boutique and gallery in Manchester, will be hosting a trunk show of work from the ILA Collection, a fine jewelry line designed by brother and sister team, Vikas and Ila Sodhani August 14-16th.
The team’s designs are delicate, minimalist and elegant — stackable, and perfect for everydaywear. The collection was launched in 2007 and was quickly selected by Saks Fifth Avenue, ModaOperandi, Catbird, and ABC Carpet and Home. Based in Houston, the designers trace their roots in jewelry back to their family’s ancestral homeland in the northwestern deserts of India, a place enchanted by history, mysticism and beauty. They frequent return to India continue to inspire their creations.
From an early age, Vikas developed a fascination with the balance of simplicity and purpose in design. With an engineering degree from MIT, Vikas nurtured a nonconformist approach that merge fashion, engineering, and design. Ila tempers Vikas' approach with beauty and softness that was instilled by their mother, an FIT graduate of textile design, and by her years of experience designing high end bridal jewelry.
Gladstone will be limiting entrance to two attendees at a given time. All guests will be asked to wear a face covering, and the jewelry and gallery surfaces will be sanitized before and after handling. The gallery is accepting and encouraging you to schedule an appointment (firstname.lastname@example.org), however, walk-ins will be welcome provided the gallery has not reached capacity.
