Hope for New Enthusiasm on Housing Authority Board

To the Editor,

After serving on the Manchester Housing Authority Board for the past eight years, I have decided not to run for reelection when my term is up in May.  My hope is that a new enthusiastic candidate will step forward to fill that slot. 

The Housing Authority is a state funded facility, but Board members are elected at our town elections.  We have seen some significant changes over the past year.  Although we remain an independent facility and Board, we are now in a management agreement with the Beverly Housing Authority, which means we share their Executive Director as well as their excellent office and maintenance staffs.  This is becoming the norm in Housing Authorities across the state and is working well for us.

Please consider running for this board to ensure the wellbeing of our residents in the future.
