Born at Marblehead hospital on December 12, 1944, Frank B. “Frosty” Glass grew up in Manchester and passed away on September 30th, 2026.
Frosty was born the oldest of six children in his family, which included younger siblings Chris, Rick, Wendy, Terry, and Edna Mae.
Frosty drove for Glass Taxi Company in Manchester for many years during high school and continued throughout college during summer vacations.
He played left guard in the storied Manchester High School football team in 1962, when the team won the Massachusetts state championship. Frosty then attended Salem State College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Education in 1966. While there, he was a member of Kappa Delta Phi fraternity.
Upon graduating, Frosty became a teacher, serving as a career educator at Millis High School and teaching business for 30 years in the school’s Business Department. He wed Ann Buddenhagen, an anthropology professor at Hofstra University. Ann and Frosty would lead students on summer research voyages throughout the world. They remained married for many decades, until Frosty’s death.
Frosty also painted houses with his close friend, Carl Doanne.
He was a good and stable friend to his friends, and a mentor to many of his students.
