One day last week Edwin H. Burnham and two sons were down river herringing and after work Edwin picked up a bottle and held it out saying to his son Ralph, there is a good shot. Ralph picked up a stone and fired it, missed the bottle but struck his father over the eye, cutting quite a gash and knocking him down. Dr. Simpson took several stitches in the wound to close it.
A group of members of the local Grange motored to Newton, N.H. where they spent a pleasant evening with Eclipse Grange in that town.
