Elder Brethren—Another Great Year!

Posted

To the Editor,

Over the past two years I’ve had the pleasure of being the president of Manchester’s Elder Brethren. I would like to congratulate Russ Aldrich for once again snagging the “Elder Brethren Cane” for being the wisest and oldest member of our group in attendance. Joe Willwerth also deserved a shout out; he received the Slade Eaton award for his service to the club and to the town. A heartfelt congratulations to both fine men.
This year, we had three wonderful speakers I’d like to thank on behalf of the club: Manchester’s Fire Chief, Jake McNeilly, Manchester’s new Town Administrator Tony Barletta, and Lieutenant Mark McCoy from our Police Department. Thanks to each of them for their thoughtful remarks.
I’d like to finish by thanking all the committee members for all their hard work. We had a big crowd this year—more than 70 in attendance. Great workers equal great success.
On the “business” side of things, we elected Bruce MacDonald president for the next two years, and I hope he enjoys the same support the town has extended to me these last two years. He will definitely raise the bar.
Todd Crane
(now) Past President
Manchester Elder Brethren
