Domenic was born and raised in Boston.  He graduated from Northeastern University in 1954 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering.  Domenic took a job working for Boeing Corporation, which relocated him, Dorothy, and their first child, Maria to Seattle, WA in 1962.  He later went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Washington in 1967.  In 1971, they returned to the east coast with their four children, and settled in Manchester-By-The-Sea, MA to be closer to family.

Domenic worked 28 years for the Department of Transportation in Cambridge, MA.  While raising a family, he built several boats, including a 24 ft wooden Stonehorse sailboat, which was launched in the summer of 1987. S ailing was a favorite pastime for him with his family.  Not only did Domenic build boats, he was also an accomplished wood worker, building many pieces of furniture for his wife and his children.  Domenic retired in 1999 and assisted Dorothy in providing day care for their many grandchildren, while continuing to build furniture, and many days on the water sailing.  In his later years he built a fleet of model ships.  Anything Domenic took on; he completed it to perfection.
