Diane Dennis Holroyd, 90, passed away peacefully at home in Safety Harbor, Florida on December 4, 2024. She was born in Beverly and raised in Manchester, Mass. She was the daughter of Russell and Elizabeth Dennis. She graduated from Story High School with the Class of 1952. She always carried the love of her hometown in her heart, and visited family and friends often.
Diane was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Richard C. Holroyd. After living in Wallingford, Ct., for many years they moved to Safety Harbor, Florida, where they enjoyed a fulfilling social and home life.
Diane is survived by her four daughters, and son-in-law: Kimberly Harris of Safety Harbor, Florida; Tracy and Vito Finazzo of Gloucester, Ma.; Kendall Harris Shalifoe of Wallingford, Ct.; and Ashley Harris of Safety Harbor, Florida. Her three stepchildren, Richard C. Holroyd, Jr., Susan Konyu, and Rob Holroyd. Her grandchildren, Marcie Ronk, Emilie Machak, Stacy Trudeau, Giulia Finazzo, Kyle Sheehan, Tori Crampton, Chelsea Crampton, and Edward Crampton. Great grandchildren, Nick, Shelly, Cypress, and Racie. Her sisters Jean McKenna of Beverly Ma., Cleone White of Gloucester, Ma., and Marianne Shrewsberry of Manchester, Ma. She also had many nieces and nephews.
We will all miss her beautiful flair for fashion, entertaining stories, family history, a fun-loving spirit, and especially the photos she would send on birthdays and special occasions.
Diane’s doctor had told her that her heart was not working well, and she said, “My heart is fine. I love everyone.”
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
