It is with great sadness that we report of the death of our beloved sister, Carolyn Sue Kimball from congestive heart failure on Monday, September 23, 2024, in Beverly. Carolyn was born in Melrose in 1954, the second of four children to the late Sally (Allen) Kimball and Donald W. Kimball. She graduated from Manchester Jr.-Sr. High School in 1973.
Carolyn was nicknamed "Peachy" as a infant for her fondness for Gerber peach baby food. She spent most of her life on the North Shore, except for a few years in Vermont. She loved the ocean, and was very at home in or on the water, whether at her beloved Singing Beach or aboard the family Chris Craft cabin cruiser called the "Sea Fun." She loved going "Up Country" to Maine with the family in the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser to visit her paternal grandparents Harry W. and Carolyn R. Kimball. Carolyn loved to cook, bake and take care of the family cats. She attended many concerts at Boston Garden, and was especially fond of the rock group Queen. She will be terribly missed by friends and family who knew and loved her kind soul.
She is survived by her three brothers, Don Kimball Jr. of La Mesa, CA, David and sister-in-law Janet (Neeley) Kimball, and Douglas and sister-in-law Cheryl of Derry, NH along with seven nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held to remember her life on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at the East Baptist Church, 300 Western Avenue, Lynn. A Reception will be held at the church hall following the service.
