Bruce MacDonald Joins Mortgage Network’s Danvers Office

Bruce MacDonald, Jr. has joined Mortgage Network, one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the eastern U.S. as a loan officer.

MacDonald will work out of the company’s Danvers, responsible for helping borrowers throughout Massachusetts with their home financing needs.

A Manchester-by-the-Sea native who currently lives on the “port-side” of Danvers, MacDonald said rising mortgage interest rates, increasing home prices and a limited inventory of available homes mean that serious homebuyers need to be ready to act quickly.

“Properties that are new to the market are selling fast, which is why it is critical to get a pre-approval now instead of waiting until you find a home,” MacDonald said.  “I encourage homebuyers to prepare and know their borrowing limit so they can quickly make an offer. Then, they should be ready to sign a purchase and sales agreement in short order.”

MacDonald comes to Mortgage Network after spending over 30 years in advertising sales and management serving North Shore businesses and institutions on behalf of The Boston Globe, The Salem News, The Gloucester Daily Times and The Daily News of Newburyport.  He holds an executive MBA from Endicott College and a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in finance from Northeastern University.

MacDonald currently serves as vice president of the Manchester Club and on the executive board of The Elder Brethren Association.

Mortgage Network, Inc. is one of the largest, privately held independent mortgage companies in the eastern U.S., with 35 branch offices and licenses in 27 states.
