Atley Lucas Samolchuk (35) died Saturday, August 26 from complications of Crohn’s disease and colon cancer, with immediate family by her side. Atley was a fighter and through her pain she always found love and caring for all, a very special person who will be missed.
Atley was a 2006 graduate of Manchester High School and a 2011 graduate of ITT Tech where she earned an associate degree in computer science. Atley was an accomplished guitar player, as well as an avid gamer and artist. She loved watching the Bruins and adored the family dog Buddy.
A fifth-generation Manchester resident, Atley is survived by her beloved parents Linda Lucas and Harry Samolchuk III, her brother Austen and Uncles and Aunts, James and Denise Samolchuk, and Scott and Robyn
We wish to thank Dr. Ben Schlechter and Nurse Practitioner Dan Gorman, with whom Atley found strength through their friendship, as well as her favorite nurses, Ashley, Caroline, Kerri and the many who cared for Atley with professionalism and love at Dana Farber.
