Annette Bell Gauthier, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away May 4th, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Gordon Bell, Sr. and Lucy Fiske Bell.
In 1956, Annette married Henry E. (Hank) Gauthier and they were married for nearly 70 years. She is also survived by two daughters, Susan Gauthier Cook, wife of Jeffrey Cook and Karen Gauthier Cox, wife of Dennis Cox; 7 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She truly enjoyed spending time with the kids, often taking them to New Hampshire or Maine for special weekends.
Annette was born October 25, 1931, and raised in Manchester-by-the-Sea. She graduated from Story High School in 1949 and remained friends with several classmates throughout life. She loved spending time with those ladies and referred to them as the “lunch bunch.” In recent years she organized a multi-class high school class reunion, held at the Danversport Yacht Club, which was a glowing success.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed art whether through oil painting or unique creations of stained glass.
Camping trips far and wide were summer activities with a net acting as navigator as well as serving up meals on a Coleman camp stove. She was also on the Manchester woman's bowling league.
All our lives have been enriched by her love and kindness and life lessons she shared.
