In less than 15 days, on April 27, residents of Manchester will gather at the Annual Town Meeting to attend, debate, and vote on important Town business.

Manchester Post Office is also receiving much‑needed landscaping, with two new Eastern Red Cedars, a Serviceberry, Oakleaf Hydrangea, Panicle Hydrangea, Holly, Inkberry, and native grasses.  Our postmaster and postal workers have enthusiastically embraced the project.

Manchester’s Annual Town Meeting will take place this year at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27 at Manchester Memorial School in the gymnasium.

2026 Spring Sports Preview

Tennis, anyone?  While we’re at it, how about some lacrosse, softball and baseball, too?  The spring season kicks off this week for Manchester Essex Regional High School sports teams, so let’s get up to speed on how things look for the Hornets here at the starting gate.

When Todd Fitzgerald first put on his uniform at 20-years old, he was patrolling the town’s beaches.  Three decades later, after rising through the ranks to become chief of police in his hometown, Fitzgerald is preparing to hang up his badge for good.
