Kudos to Public Safety, The Cricket, After Boating Accident

To the Editor,

I’m writing to commend both the Manchester public safety team and the Manchester Cricket for their handling of the tragic boating accident near Graves Island.
My wife and I were in the harbor at the time; we witnessed the rapid response of the Manchester Harbormaster and heard the central role they played on Channel 16.  We couldn’t have been more impressed.
Kudos as well to the Cricket staff for the outstanding coverage.  In this age of misinformation, it’s refreshing and rare to get such a thorough, insightful news story for something so complicated. Other news outlets and social media didn’t come close.  The story hits close to home for all of us who spend time on the water in and around Manchester, and the Cricket truly rose to the occasion.
