To the Editor,
Thank you, Greg Federspiel, for giving us all the great and inciteful information about the upcoming vote on the MBTA zoning. I appreciated his latest article giving the pros and cons of the states “MBTA 3A” requirements.
As I drive around town, I see all the signs against the new zoning and quite frankly, I was thinking there was something to voting “no.” However, after reading Greg’s article, it seems the town will have much to lose if we vote it down. I can’t see how the character of the town would be negatively affected if the requirement succeeds, and as Greg points out, the town will lose out on grants given by the government which would probably mean an increase in our taxes.
If you haven’t read Greg’s articles in The Cricket, please do so before you vote on November 18.
