Rockport’s loss was Beverly Farms’ gain when artist / painter / teacher Joli Ann Wood moved her studio from busy Rockport to her home town of Beverly Farms.
This week she formally introduced her jewel box studio on Oak Street, which is around the corner from The Book Shop of Beverly Farms and across the street from the train station.
There was an afternoon reception where Wood told friends and neighbors that she was excited to have a studio closer to home, and while she will miss the support and camaraderie of Rockport’s hefty artist community, she’s already learning that The Farms is eager to have a teacher and plein air artist in their midst.
Joli Ayn’s already jumped right into the local community. Last Thursday, she was the featured artist in Cape Ann Plein Air’s “Palate to Palette” popular demonstration series at Cala’s in Manchester, where she painted a landscape during dinner service to share the experience of art in the making.
