M-E Boys Soccer 2-1 Over Lynnfield

The Manchester Essex boys soccer team has continued its unprecedented undefeated season in league play with a win over Lynnfield on Wednesday.  The 2-1 come from behind win clinched the CAL Baker Division title for the fourth straight season.  Despite some excellent passing and ball movement early from the Hornets, Lynnfield was able to score against the run of play to go up 1-0 at the half.  In the second, the boys did not panic, but instead doubled down on their quick ball movement which continued to lead to attacking chances.

The Hornets broke through when Naderson Curtis got a through ball and dangerously drove at the defense.  When he was fouled in the box, Kellen Furse converted the penalty kick to tie up the score about halfway through the second half.  The game winning goal came shortly after and again it was Naderson Curtis who pounded a Kai Carroll cross home for the game winner.  The Hornets 9-0-4 in the league have three regular season matches left against Amesbury, Ipswich and Georgetown this Tuesday, Thursday, and Monday before State Tournament action begins.
