Cross Country

ME Cross Country teams competed in some tough conditions Sunday in the rain and cold on a hilly course in Gardner.  The girls placed 7th with 164 points to advance to the All-State meet.  Scoring for the girls were Sabine Cooper 14, Stella Straub 19, Whitney Turner 21, Auraylia Lord 52 and Hayden Remington 58.  Also running were River Silva 69th place and Mary Annabelle Chrzanowski 72nd.  The boys finished 8th with 195 points missing the wildcard slots for the All State meet behind Cape Ann rivals Lynnfield and Amesbury.  Finn O'Hara earned a medal with his 4th place finish and an individual slot in the All-State meet.  Also making it to All States was Logan Cooper with a 27th place.  The other scorers for the boys were Charlie Lations 43, Nate Gardner 58, and Sam Heanue 67.  Also running were Henry Stevens 85th place and Jack Whelsky 88th .

The All-State meet will be contested at Devens on Saturday, November 19.
