Boys Soccer

After a rough match at North Reading, the boys bounced back extremely well on the road on Monday, November 2nd against Hamilton-Wenham. Jack Roberts got the scoring going with a direct kick over the Keeper's head from half field. That capped off some excellent possession in early play from the team. Naderson Curtis would assist Tommy Bowen on the second goal on a pass from the corner to Tommy out in front of the goal. The third goal came at the very end of the first half with a great through ball from Naderson Curtis to Tommy Bowen, who pounded a shot off the post and sophomore Brady Gagnon pounced on the rebound and buried the shot for a 3-0 lead.  Finn Carlson, the senior Captain goalkeeper was also stellar in the first half and would hand over the reins to fellow senior Oliver Tolo for the second half. Tolo was sharp as well including stopping a two on one breakaway to preserve the shutout. The final goal came with 10 minutes to play in the third quarter on another long distribution from Jack Roberts who found Curtis making moves around behind the back 4, drove left, and buried a lefty shot far post. The Hornets play Rockport and Pentucket at home to end the regular season.
