Wednesday, January 27th was Senior Night for the Lady Hornets at home. The seniors honor their parents this night for supporting them throughout their high school careers. The ME Hornets met a strong Hamilton Wenham team on Senior Night at home on Friday. The Generals controlled much of the game from the start but slowly, with great heart and team play the Hornets crawled back to take the W 65-60. Here Will Larson goes in for a layup and ended the game with 12 points and 8 rebounds. The Hornets are currently at the top of the league.
Friday night was Senior Night for the ME Hornets basketball team. Traditionally the seniors thank their parents for the support they provided over the years of high school sports. With COVID restrictions a modified ceremony was held in the school cafeteria rather than on the court. Here Will Levendusky presents his parents with a bouquet of flowers. The boys went on the defeat the Hamilton Wenham Generals, 65-60, in an exciting game.
It's already approaching the end of the winter sports season for the Hornets sports teams. Senior night looked a little different than years past, but honoring parents who have supported their kids over the years remains a happy tradition.
