After weeks of planning, strategizing and obtaining approval and guidance from multiple governing bodies, it can be said for the first time since November: Let the games begin. 

The school committee has given approval for Manchester Essex Regional High School student athletes to participate in winter sports just after the holiday season. Tryouts and preseason practices began on Dec. 14, with the regular season set to begin in earnest at the start of 2021.
