What could be better than a win-win situation? How about a win-win-win?
Beren Schmidt and Drew Cressey, sophomores at MERSD, wanted to do their part to support the work of our local hospital and decided to make it a triple effort - support a local, family business, earn money for Beverly Hospital, and brighten up their neighbors' days with cheerful pansy blooms.
Drew's family runs a local nursery, and this gave the boys not only the product they need for their venture, but also a bit of power to place new orders each day and have them delivered by nightfall. The pair will run deliveries right to customer doorsteps with no contact. Already, they have raised $280 dollars of their $500 goal, and they will keep selling through Mothers' Day.
Orders can be delivered or picked up at 16 Forster Road in Manchester.
10-inch pansy hangers are $12; trays of pansies are $16; 12-inch oval pansy bowls are $10 and 16-inch bowls are $12. Choose your colors: purple/ yellow/ orange/ white/ purple & yellow/ rust & yellow/ pink & yellow/yellow & brown/ purple & white. Twenty percent of all proceeds benefit the hospital.
