The Manchester Sailing Association (MSA) community-based sailing program this week announced that registration for its 2021 spring and summer season has opened.

MSA has been teaching confidence and resilience on the water since 1971, and its curriculum promotes on-water safety, fun, and sportsmanship. The program is open to students of all skill levels and experience. This summer and fall, MSA will be planning a series of 50th Anniversary celebrations including outdoor events and a designated capital campaign that will aim to ensure a successful and popular program for another 50th year and for the next generation of sailors.

The spring season will run on five Saturdays from May 22 to June 19.  The summer season runs June 21 to August 13. Registration for all sessions will open at 8.00 a.m. Monday, March 1 on the MSA’s website at manchestersailing.org.

“We were thrilled to offer our sailors the opportunity to get out on the water last summer in a safe and fun way. After an incredibly popular fall session, we decided to start the season early and introduce a new spring series as well,” said Todd Cooper, President of the MSA Board. “This year, we are especially excited to celebrate 50 years of community sailing that has become a beloved summertime tradition for the North Shore.”

Similar to last summer, the MSA will align its operational plan to comply with state and town camp guidelines in light of COVID-19 related requirements. All guidelines will be posted on the MSA site and adjustments may include smaller class sizes and the continued need for social distancing.
