Manchester’s “375+1” Celebration In 2021

A series of great Manchester 375th Celebration events have been rescheduled from 2020 to 2021 to have residents continue to celebrate the anniversary of the town.  Events will be conducted under State Guidelines on COVID-19 and the MBTS Board of Health.

Friday, June 18, 2021 – Town Birthday Celebration at Masconomo Park from 5 to 8 p.m.  Join us for live music in Masconomo featuring Chris & Joe with special guest Dennis Monagle. Feel free to bring your supper or snacks and enjoy on the lawn.  We will distribute sweet treats to all.  Sign up will be required for treat supply to be adequate. Sign-ups will be available starting June 1 on the Manchester  Parks and Recreation page www.mbtsrec.com.  Rain date: Saturday, June 19 at 5 to 8 p.m.

Sunday, July 4 – Boat Parade in Manchester Harbor – Participating boats will muster outside the harbor starting at 3 p.m.  Parade will start at 4 p.m. with exact route and assigned order of march to be determined with additional details to be made available in early June.  Any questions or to register your boat, please contact Mike Opal at (781) 354-4654, or mopal@live.com.

Tuesday, Aug 17 – Cape Ann Big Band Concert at Masconomo Park – 6 to 8 p.m. Join your friends and neighbors for a great concert at Masconomo Park. Come early and select your spot on the lawn.  Pre- registration is not necessary.

Saturday, Aug 21 – Movie under the Stars at Masconomo Park. A family friendly Disney Pixar movie will be shown.  Movie will start at 7:30 p.m.  Arrive at Masconomo between 7-7:30 p.m. to get your spot.  Feel free to bring supper or a snack to enjoy on the lawn. We will supply sweet treats for all. Pre-registration is necessary for the sweet treat supply to be adequate.  Register after June 1 on the Manchester Parks and Recreation web page and to see the name of the movie.  Rain date: Sunday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept 22 – High Tea at Sharksmouth Estate – two seatings noon and 2 p.m., with 60 people at each seating.  Enjoy a high tea experience with harp music in a beautiful setting on the MBTS coastline.  Tickets available in mid-August through Eventbrite and the COA Office.  Tickets $10.00 per person. If necessary -- Transport to site will be available from Town Hall with ticket purchase.

Saturday, Sept 25 – End of Celebration Parade -- Parade starts at 2 p.m. from MERHS and follows the traditional July 4 parade route. Parade will feature bands, fire engines and floats.  Can your organization, company or neighborhood get together and enter a float?  We hope so – start planning now!  The parade will feature a large delegation from Shriners and the award-winning Danvers High School Marching Band.  Rain date – Saturday, October 23.
