Manchester Historical Museum is Re-opening

Posted

Manchester Historical Museum at 10 Union Street announced it will reopen on Tuesday, July 14, and is inviting the public to view the museum’s current art exhibit and sale, “Cape Ann through Artists’ Eyes.”  The exhibit features paintings and photography from 18 local artists.  This free exhibit will run through September during our regular hours Tuesday - Fridays (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.).  As artwork sells, new items will be hung, so multiple visits are encouraged.

In order to comply with federal health agency and state guidelines, guests and staff must wear face coverings while inside the museum, practice social distancing, sanitize hands upon entrance and register for COVID tracing.  The museum will be limiting the number of people in the exhibit hall which may mean a short wait in the facility’s lovely courtyard before entering.  Note: the historic Trask House that is connected to the museum’s exhibit hall will remain closed for the time being.  Also, limited archive research will resume but will be only by appointment.  Contact the museum for details and information.
