Come Learn to Sail: Manchester Sailing Association Prepares For 2020 Season

The Manchester Sailing Association’s (MSA) sailing program is opening its 2020 summer program registration and has put out a call for all aspiring and experienced sailors.  The North Shore summertime tradition that has been teaching confidence and resilience on the water since 1971. 

MSA teaches students of all skill and experience levels from age 7 to adult.  Students have fun learning to sail as they develop new friendships and gain independence on the water. 

The MSA curriculum promotes on-water safety, fun, and sportsmanship.  MSA owns a fleet of boats including Dyer Dhows, Optimist Dinghies, 420s, and Rhodes 19s, all available for classes and open Saturday sailing.

All classes are run out of Tuck's Point with instruction in the scenic Manchester harbor and surrounding waters. The 2020 summer season runs from June 22 to August 14, with the first two-week session starting on Monday, June 22.  Morning and afternoon sessions are designed for beginners and experienced sailors and competitive racing.  The Intro to RACE program is offered for a full or half season, and participants compete in regional regattas.  Adult lessons are conducted in the evening based on popularity.   

Online registration for all classes opens on March 1 and is located on MSA’s website.  Sign up for one session or the entire season. Classes fill fast, so be sure to register early and bring your friends.
